i'm learning

this vacation is teaching me to rediscover...

the new level of being Ate to my two brothers who I pray would finally be able to stick with their college courses. it's truly amazing how i've evolved as an authoritarian ate to an adviser and a teacher in their school assignments. our relationships as siblings has finally gotten new skin. is it bad? i honestly think not, i think it's something that i should be thankful for. i wanted to make sure that they're fixing their lives and seriously studying but i didn't voice it out. i decided to just keep quiet and be the observer and the adviser instead. it's time for all of us to grow....
friendship is a gift from God, one of the greatest gifts a person could ever receive. everyday i meet different friends, and with different meetings, different stories, different fun and renewed bondings. being away from friends make you truly value their worth, more so, not having the luxury of dragging somebody to a coffee shop just to hear your woes til the wee hours of the morning, life when revisited with old friends bring old memories and fresh bonds. rediscovering that we've gotten to live different lives, with different hang ups and problems, but no matter where our dreams, our hopes and our aspirations lead us to, there will always be a comfort of knowing that somewhere, somehow, we have great friends, who will bring us smiles, or tears, or laughter or pain, and they will be there, always for better and for worse, evading distance, defying time....
bumming around in malls knowing that everybody else are busy working their butts off is actually a pleasurable thought.
shopping! shopping! shopping! i splurged and later did i realized that my old weakness came back, splurge!
massage therapy is still the best way to calm a tired soul, and a confused mind...oh i really love it! and suriya spa too, especially ruela!
i've proven time and again that elle woods makes perfect sense in legally blonde. we girls should really soak ourselves in spa! have manicure, have foot spa, have your hair done!
my passion for re-inventory! yup yup, i've reinvented myself...just like what i used to do. was probably hooked up with life's drama [hahahhaa, thanks to HB!], i almost forgot that it is important to reinvent yourself to find new reasons to smile and be thankful for the days...as for new reasons to smile??? i can name a thousand in an instant! what more can i ask for???? i've got a great team in the office, i have great friends who are truly human, i've got my family, a great career, people remembering my birthday even if i'm miles apart and i have the Lord in me. what more can i ask for????? love???? oh, i have it in my heart too :)
it is great to be 29, i gather!

My first ever American public transpo experience. I confess it was not the most pleasant ride, comparing to the comforts of Tokyo shinkansen. But it was a good way to see the countryside over 12 hours of travel!

I had a simple day today. Woke up at around lunchtime and watched It Happened One Night, Die Another Day and Shallow Hall. Was dozing on and off since this morning. I was happy to catch Shingo's tv show, it made me laugh. Cleaned the house. Had chat with Raffel, Paul, Mark, Marla and Sammy. Had steak and sinigang for dinner with 2 bottles of plum wine to consume and celebrate my own birthday. Had a soothing bath, although I was too lazy to go out and buy aromatherapy candles. All in all, this is not a bad day afterall.
