Shinkyo @ Nikko
Ken, Jingting (plus her British friend) and I decided to have a short weekend getaway at Nikko. We first stopped at this bridge ~ Shinkyo Bridge. You have to pay Y500 just to step on this almost 400 year-old-bridge. Plus you get a brochure and all the photo ops you ever want! Hehehehe...To get to Nikko, you may want to consider the Tobu Asakusa Line. From Tobu Nikko (last stop), get on a bus and off to Shinkyo. You may also take a 20 minute brisk walk just like what we did!

Risky Business
I read Tonette's post about love being a risky business. I couldn't help but reflect upon her very words:
Over the years, when a woman allows herself to share her thoughts and feelings with someone, spends time in getting to know him and eventually allowing the friendship to grow into a more intimate level, she has already given a very special part of herself to this person. It is a gift that she has given unconditionally several times in her life. When she loses him for one reason or another, the tears take time to dry, so much so that when next time overtures of Love lurks outside her door, she has already built a wall around herself and learns to say, "hanggang diyan ka nalang muna" (that's as far as you can go). You just don't don't don't want to be involved with anybody after a series full of goodbyes. Fr. Jerry, its not that we are shutting off Love. It is because of Love that we learned to shut the door to avoid getting hurt again. One thing I do know is that the next time love comes knocking, I will take the risk and open the door, praying that this one will be for keeps. Until then, its status quo
I don't mean to get mushy and all when I should be shouting out Thank God It's Friday! but I fully share Ton's sentiments. And that's exactly what I feel. Some guys would actually not realize so many things about girls in effect hurting us, ladies, terribly. I don't mean to wage a war of the sexes but the thing is, there are those guys, I don't know if I they're just naive or what, who takes you to a ride and then when you realize you're enjoying it, they'll drop you and run like hell. I guess it probably reflects my poor judgment most of the time.
Well, still....I am just a girl who wants to love and be loved in return.

Kakayanin ko ito?! (Ganbaranai to!)
I sneaked out of the office after a long and enduring brain storming facilitation to buy a new pair of shoes. I'm recently so into flat, vallet shoes and knowing me, my urge to splurge and hoard all good pairs have to be satisfied. So, I passed through the Subway gate and to my surprise, a portion of the Shinjuku station (the one lining all the way to Shinjuku Go-chome) was renovated. It has this neat and sophisticated flavor. Amazing! With a blink of an eye tons of things happen.

Speaking of today's heavy brainstorming, I was totally glad that we got more feedback from stakeholders. I prayed really hard for guidance so I could facilitate this critical meeting. The challenge really here, aside from the obvious is that this meeting is to be in Japanese. And somehow, I felt a little bit relieved.
***
Took an eCampus P-mark course and exam (in Japanese), at first I wanted to give up and seek help. But my pride and my new creed got me firm on trying to make it on my own. Indeed, I got 100% at the re-take. I was so proud of me! Yup, yup, "Kakayanin ko ito?!" [Ganbaranai to!]

Felt like I was jinxed today. Kept on spilling my coffee!!! Good thing my white ensemble didn't get stained. Jason said it's a sign..that it's about time to quit coffee!

It feels as though I'm surviving for a day at a time. There's so many ups and downs. Most of the times I don't know how to figure those out. But why do we fall? So we could learn to pick ourselves up! -excerpts from Batman Begins.
Good morning girl friend!
Had this long chat with my dear friend Vekie. It's been a while since we had this 'long talk'. Our chit chats would range from our observations about our society, to the things that are changing in our lives, to our love lives, to friends' updates and then back again to our all-time fave - Love.
I miss the times we spent every morning commenting just about everything. See, Vekie and I used to sit next to each other's cube and every morning, while I was having coffee (of course) we would randomly pick a subject matter that appeals to us and feeling like early morning talk show hosts, we would discuss, agree and sometimes debate. We've been through so much together. In many ways, we've grown with each of our own heartaches, our own professional challenges, our own night mares, our hopes and dreams, our sordidness sometimes. It makes me laugh and cry just remembering those moments, our good morning, girl friend days.
Now that I mention it, it's all coming back to me. The memories of yester years. Old friend. Lolo. Bitchin! Evil step sis. Fabulous girl friends. Partying. Fashionista. Girls night out til we drop (ahahahhaa). Beautiful! These are many blessings of friendship that I would never trade.

The Seint and I
This is my friend Seint whom I haven't seen for like 5 or 6 years. Stayed with him in my visit to N. Ireland.
He became my chaperone, my tourist guide, my room mate, my buddy, my knight in singing (ahhaha, that's right!) armor, my cook and my gracious host for 2 days!
Indeed many things change over the years. But friendship never does. True friends withstand the test of time, and of space.
Cheers to my buddy Seint [who has been my saint for the past week]! I hope our roads meeet again somewhere, someday :)

Colorful Giraffe
Small kiddie parks can also play good backdrop, hehehehe. Just wanted to capture the colors behind me, that's all! :)
I found the next perfect date venue!
I really was being a tourist eh! Can't blame me, this is my first time here in Odaiba..and I wish to come back again, on a date!~ ^o^
Imagine holding hands with your lovey dovey while enjoying the Tokyo bay area view plus the crisp autumn air, ahhh ~ isn't it so romantic? Too bad it's over between me & HB. I should have asked him to take me here when we had the chance.. Regrets. Regrets.
Waiting for the bus
Me, Ray, Anching and Jeff gaily posing (with the birthday boy Oteph behind the lens) while waiting for the bus. Otep wanted to take the bus on our way back to Tokyo. Why? Simply because the bus costs only Y200. If we take the train, it would cost us Y500. I think it's a good choice, was even able to sleep the short excursion over[perhaps due to the really slow pace hehehehe].
We were celebrating Oteph's birthday at Odaiba although I wasn't exactly sure we made the birthday celebrant our camera man, geez~
Hanabi Wannabe
A closer look at Odaiba's few attractions
Here's what I'm talking about! I have to remember thanking Ado for shaking the rope bridge, it seems to tremendously accelerated my evasion of acrophobia!
Odaiba - My First
I'm standing behind a huge ferris wheel at Odaiba! 'Twas a pity the ferris wheel was not up for public consumption today. Word to the wise~ if you are in Tokyo, don't miss Odaiba and the huge ferris wheel. Ride and enjoy Tokyo at night, including the lighted Tokyo Tower! :)
Fun PingPong
Ray & Anching showing their pingpong prowess @ Odaiba! Here's one recreation that we sometimes do on weekends for fun. Good exercise! Also good way to spend quality bonding time with prends4ever hehehehe.
Thanks for visiting!
