My guests have gone home, finally!

It's both a relief and piles of work on my tray.

Learnings for the week:
If you can't beat it, join it.
A problem shared could reduce to a half or double in size (it's a toss up!)
Your relationships are like bows in your arrows, most effective when used for one goal at a time.
Politics such but nevertheless have fun, life is too short.
Quotable Quotes:
I could use a couple of laughs!
Where is he going? FUKUOKA? How do you spell it? F.U.-KO-KA?!
So, how are you today, Emzi?
Bloody hell?!
Trivia:
Did you know that Jewel in the Palace is now being shown in NHK?

Before I came back in Tokyo my sweet brother asked me to help him out with his presentation on Politics for this Political Science class. Man is by nature a 'political animal'. That byline stuck in my head. I could totally relate and gave out a silent laugh. Jaybee asked what was funny. I said "oh no, I wouldn't want to polute your mind which could potentially turn your 'A' into an 'E'. His presentation went pretty well. Two weeks later I'm stuck here in the office almost 11pm, and with time ticking away, I'm still far from trying to figure out how to deal with politics in the flesh. Oh well, who says life isn't tough?

Tiny Little Droplets

Sometimes when you succumb to the fiendish petty corporate psywars you always end up eaten alive. Why is that? Is the world too hungry enough that it is ready to devour anything that comes closest to meat? How can you blame a beaten, abused, tiny little dog from barking at all the trees? In the end it always comes down to the basics ~ survival of the fittest...

Food For Thought

Do your best. It's the best you can do. Concerning yourself about how much credit you will receive only burden you with more stress. Let others see your work ethic, and you will be able to take pride and pleasure in a job well done.

Our Daily Bread
No Grudges After Sunset. For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.

Something To Look Forward To
  1. Wear that thinking cap again, the week's for the CRM workshop!
  2. Weekend snowboarding

Just Visiting ~ Jack & Adgie @ My Home

Adgie and I wanted to take Jack (the girl beside Agdie) to the Tokyo station and tour her to Tokyo Tower but the rain poured so hard that we decided to just head to the comfort and warmth of my home and watch DVD, cook food and drink.

Adgie busied himself with preparing Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba as Jack and I watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Later on while we were eating Adgie requested to put in Love Actually because he really really like it.

We had fun, we got warm, Jack's jacket dried off and the two headed back home at around 10.30pm.

'Twas the first time I met Jack and she was a darling. It was great to hang around with Adgie again as well and enjoy his infamous Yakisoba and I'm definitely glad to share my humble tiny home to everyone.

I Found Doraemon's Huge Smile At The Gates Of Ueno Park

Doraemon's Huge Smile!

I and Agdie played host to Jack's brief stay here in Tokyo. She's a D2 trainer and was here for about 4 days.

We took her to Ueno and to Asakusa. I saw a cute statue of Doraemon and I told myself that I absolutely have to have this picture :)

It's true indeed that no matter how many times you visit a place over and over again, the experience is always uniquely interesting.

'06 New Year Party Highlights - Special Number

'06 New Year Party Highlights - Special Number
Originally uploaded by setyr.

As usual our dear President has to perform a special number. This year he'd chosen as a mascot Mr. Fuuu~~~ the one with the funny (personally yuckie to me) leather tight costume is a Marketing guy who happened to be my crush until Friday night when he obliged and showed up in that outfit. When I was taking Coach' picture during the arm wrestling, he actually waved to me and said 'hi!'.

I turned away and said, 'ehhwww~~~'. I'll give him 'A' for effort though and for the 'thickness' :)

A great way to start the year is to party!

This year's New Year Party was definitely wackier than last year. Everyone's hopeful about better business and bigger things to come these next two years.

In the picture are Navision team and me. I definitely have to sustain the good relations between my team and this for both our sakes! :)

Quiapo has a notorious reputation and having lived for about 6 years in Arlegui Street in Quiapo has taught me how to be street smart. In these very streets, I also learned true friendships, peaceful coexistence with the Muslims who live just across the street and in fact has a Mosque in there. More so, it has constantly reminded me that life needs to be lived day by day with zest and vibrant and hope and miracle.

The Fiest Of The Black Nazarene attests to it.

Miracles happen everyday. People do still pray. There are those who believe in God and in love. In 2006, I am still one of them...
