Kazu-kun has gone bigger, unbelievable.

Someday I hope to host a baby party as well, of course with my (would-be) baby the cutest of them all! :)

Petish with rings

Petish with rings

Been recently obsessing on rings.

I am even wearing the 'friendship ring' that Flor gave me last Christmas as a Christmas gift. It's made of beads, mostly hues of lavander.

I don't know... what's with the rings lately???

A Penny For Thoughts

Yuriko and I had a dinner meeting to plan for the upcoming Ski Tour. On the sides, we talked about my shopping spree in SFO and my passion for constantly changing my fashion sense (depending on the season). Out of the blue, she said 'I like the idea of having the power to buy whatever pleases my eyes. On the other hand, you find pleasure in thinking hard about how you'll express yourself..I get tired doing that. I just want to shop.' I'd easily give a penny on this.
Got the chance to watch the live coverage of the Olympic's ladies' figure skating event. When the camera zoomed in on unbeatable World Number 1 Irina Slutskaya (Russia) just before she went for her short program, I caught her giving out a huge sigh. It must have been due to tremendous pressure. I thought to myself, even the Gods deal with pressure but the self-believers walks away with victorious smile (and a fist on the air). Another (pathetic) thought: HB is right. I love analyzing what I see. Is this a flaw???
The disaster that hit Leyte is all over the news. I pray for all those souls who were buried underneath the rubbles. Nature always has the last say on everything. I guess that's why we need to pay it more respect.

Snowboarding Dancing At Iwa Ppara Ski Resort

Jetlag from 12 hours of flight time,
I conquered it all...for the love of snowboarding!

Forecast was rain but I've reserved the bullet train ticket before I left for SFO so there was no turning back.

Snowboarding under the rain was another unique experience. On top were huge packets of snow falling down, as you descend they melt and turn to rain.

It was drizzling yesterday and the snow becomes so slippery, it felt as if I was in a skating rink. Frustrating at the start because I could barely manage to do the back brake and practice the more advanced riding techniques.

I was getting frustrated and the rain started to drip in my gloves. My hands were getting numb. I began to wonder, why am I doing this crazy thing?

Then I heard a voice inside my head, 'snowboarding is supposed to be fun, you're not competing or aiming for an Olympic medal!'

Indeed. I threw everything aside and started to dance under the rain as I snowboard my way through, dancing as though no one was watching. I dropped all my shoulders burden from pressures at work to my personal endeavors away sa I enjoyed the rain drops falling in my ski wear. It didn't help much with my snowboarding technique improvement but it was all I needed to do to make a difference in everything else that matter.
