Small Reunion
Now that a phase of the project is about to close, so do some lessons learned. But the friendship that withstood the test of time will remain.
It's not always easy to close a door, but you can't open another if you don't..so the wise say.
I'm hesitant to take another plunge, perhaps afraid that I might falter, or perhaps, I savor the comfort of what is left of yesterday. But a part of me is cheering me on, pushing my feet to move on forward. Yes, from time to time, I look back, to remember what has been.
This unbearable sadness, as I have learned time and again, will not last forever. Nor will be washed away by the prospect of something new to come. But I'll get by....I know better now.
It dawned to me just now...that when you hurt someone you truly love, the person you're hurting most is yourself...I finally got it.
