Monumental Friday
After a very crucial 18 hours of hard work, we did it! CP is now UP and RUNNING! Finally had a well-deserved 4 hours sleep! This would have not been possible without the support of all the people around me. I feel so blessed being surrounded by these nice helpful colleagues.
***
There's still so much work but one major burden has gone off my shoulder, whew~ From now on, post-mortem. What have I learned? How have I grown? Which areas could I improve further? This project tells a lot of my recent biography! I'm glad that we've finally made the major leap.
***
Post-mortem...endings...new beginnings...How could I break it gently to all those that I've worked with and have fought for in the last 10 months? I was tempted to reconsider my other options, but I guess there are things in life that are more worth giving a try.
***
Or is it really worth it? Maybe yes, maybe not but at least I have given it a try. There's no regret. Leaving something behind is almost always the hardest thing to do, often twice as difficult as plunging into the unknown future. But nobody really stays stagnant, there is no such thing as forever. They say that the higher the stake, the higher the risk. We only live once. We can only walk this journey once...and I chose to walk the unfamiliar road and hope that it will make the difference.
***
Ahh! Plunging into the unknown..equipped with nothing but faith. They always say that the Lord loves you so much that he gives you these trials to overcome, hone you into a refined gold and make you come closer to Him. I fight a lot with my God just like I would with my parents but in the end, when nothing seems to work for me, it's always been me & my sheppard.

Yes, it's kiss and make up with my God...hahaha, so much for our LQ! But is it going to be really kiss & make up with me and HB? I'd like to believe that there's always a time, a perfect timing for everything. I've done my part, and I've made my choice...now it's all up to him.
***
Temporary triumph for my seemingly never-ending saga with MM! A-san got the support of Lolo J. If W.Co accepts the offer, he'd be a suitable replacement for me, and I'd feel safe leaving my 'children' in capable hands :)
***
I'm leaving on a jetplane! Yup, counting down to 2 days. My schedule would be excrutiating. MLA ETA 21:00. Monday - Work. Reimbursements! Stocks! Date with BPAs. Back to hometown for funeral. Tuesday - Bills! Bills! Bills! More reimbursements! Wed ~ Sat. The laid back life of Batanes. Sat-Monday. Beach. Sleep. Unwind.
***
2005Q1's about to end. What have I learned? Let me figure it out. Snowboarding. Yup, that's a first. Make a stand! For all that I believed in. Self-acceptance. What else?? Nahh~ I'd like to leave the rest til post-mortem.
***
Tonight is the time to tidy up and pack my winter clothes! Ooohhh~ Yes, winter has ended. Welcome spring! Welcome new Em ~ What's in store for Q2???? お楽しみに!
***
But first things first....Tomorrow it's Yokohama with Orson, Marvin, Johnny and Agdie.

This Is It!
Tomorrow is the "The Day!" Yes, this is it!
***
Had a meaty discussion with Koz. A casual lunch turned out to be a discussion of many things that matter in our own lives. From Avocado, to the shifts we wanted in our career, to our love lives, difficult times, how to mend a broken heart. We talked about the "oh! so familiar road to closure". We both thought that to each is his own pain creatively brought upon by different circumstances, different levels, different timing but all the same bring grief. This lunchdate turned out to be girl talk! It was surprisingly an open conversation. We didn't hold bitter truths about some parts of our lives. Maybe because we both have somehow reached that level of acceptance. Yes, to accept what has happened, to acknowledge the pain, and to somehow try to focus more on the positive side of life. It's about trying to see the good side of life at the same time admitting that there are just those 'bad days'.
***
Had a short and casual conversation with H.B. Twas interesting to note that we were a bit cautious about what would come out of each other's mouth. It has been quite a while since we had that kind of talk and it brought refreshing feelings. It maybe hard to begin again but as they say in nihongo 'nan to naku'. Somehow it feels as though everything's gonna be alright. Afterall, as the saying goes 'Everything's gonna be OK in the end. If it's not OK, then it's not the end..' I leave it to fate.

True Friends
Look upon the dark of night, do you see a reflection of light? Could it be the star that's so bright, reminds you of a friend that was there on those dark nights, who gently dried your tears from sight? Or the friend, that was there to share a smile or hug? Never asking, only giving that special kind of love. A love only a true friend knows, a love that sets your heart aglow. I ask you now is this your friend you hold so dear? A friend that has the twinkle of a star? Yet is never one to stray to far. A friend that's in your heart, always near? If this is so, when you look upon the dark of night and see a twinkle of light, remember that true friend, the star that shines so bright!
I would but I couldn't
I'd wake up early just to catch my fave morning show.
I'd patiently fall in line just to get a premiere movie ticket.
I'd pay 5x the price for a good seat to my fave singer's concert.
I'd save a lot just to buy a good signature bag.
I'd sacrifice much needed sleep just to keep up with F1 Grand Prix live!
I'd travel for hours just to play 30 minutes of good badminton.
I'd skip lunch just to update my blog.
But I couldn't do those things that matter most
I couldn't give it one more try.
I couldn't lower my pride that's so high
I couldn't just say what I mean to
And I couldn't just be true...

How My White Day Was
March 14 ~ White Day. I was surprised to receive quite a lot of chocolates! A lot of people love me! Hahahaha.
Feb 14 in Japan is a little bit different. Women gives out chocolates and profess love to their man on VDays. Come March 14, that love is either reciprocated or a girl gets a clear signal that
they cannot take it a step further. Strange custom. Only in Japan!日曜日, 3月 13, 2005

Being Personal @ Work
A snapshot of my cube ~ this is the part where I keep important memories of my friends :)
Zooming in...(from lower right~Daruma, coke freebie dolls, Katana, calendar, carrot juices, shinsengumi flag, trend cap with Disney brooches, trendwatch, disney pen, collage of all that puts a smile on my face!
Daruma ~ A good luck doll used in Japan. When you buy a Daruma it has no eyes, then if you wish for something to happen or for a project to succeed, you put one eye. And when what you wished for has come true, then you put on the other eye.
Katana ~ A miniature samurai :) which I use for 2 purposes: (a) letter opener (b) self-defense! hahahaha
Shinsengumi Flag ~ Represents the organization which Kondo Isami built "Shinsengumi", they are believed to be the last of the Samurais in Japanese history. They were the 'secret police'. Although Shinsengumi lasted only for a few years (around 6 years), it has brought with it influence that would forever change the course of history of Japan. Kondo Isami, it's leader was eventually caught by the government and was sentenced to death. I read somewhere that his remains lay within the high prestige "Tokyo University". I learned all these from my fave Japanese star Shingo Katori who played Kondo Isami in NHK's Shinsengumi. You'll see on top of my Shinsengumi flag a Ninja star which I also bought for self-defense! ahahaha, just kidding...A famous Ninja monogatari (legend) anime which Shingo acted out in the movie NinxNin was both so funny and interesting, so I bought a souvenir :)
My snowboarding Snoopy! and a darts board, gift from officemates "something to aid me whenever i get lost along the way..", as they put it! :)
Thanks for visiting!
