Break from Saturday routine ~ a spa experience
I threw away the usual Saturday housekeeping routine to pamper myself. Went to Takashimaya's 12th floor beauty avenue and got my first full-blown Japanese esute~ (spa). The staff were very friendly. As usual I had to fill up a set of questionnaires and had to undergo counselling. They all expected that I could speak, understand and read Japanese. Whew ~ Tough world! Anyway, the jacuzzi and the sauna was so relaxing, I wanted to soak there for hours. The relaxation room was so soothing. I was looking at Shinjuku's night skyline. In front of me was the Do-Co-Mo tower clock, I could see the Tokyo Tower from afar and Tokyo lights were sparkling. As I looked down, I saw Christmas illumination. The Yuletide spirit's really been around the corner. I figured. I felt so relaxed as I closed my eyes and listened to the calming background music being played.
I'd categorize the massage as good. [My standard's really been high when we talk about massage]. It was enough to calm my tired muscles. Although I could tell that she was having a hard time because almost everything in my body is stiff. Tsk tsk. I've really had too much stress, she could easily tell. A the end of an hour's session she advised me to rest more and de-stress a little bit.
All in all the experience was nice. It really helped me UP my shoulders a little bit. In fact, they were able to convince me to do a 6x trial plan. Anybody interested to try can go and dash at Takashimaya Shinjuku Branch (if you go this Christmas season, you'll be treated with superb Christmas illuminations!), 12/f Beauty Avenue, Socie Beauty Express. I went to Guerlain Paris. Here's the URL (japanese).
