Pinoy Weekend
Then we went Bowling. Secretly I was smiling, ahhahaha, "this is my game!". Though I've not bowled since I seriously took badminton, I somehow have that confidence (hahaha, yabang?!). My first shot ....tsk tsk, bad! bad! [5/2-]. But I got my bearing as we progressed. It ended up, second. Turns out Agdie is a good bowler!
Agdie and me at the Bowling Center. We're waiting for our turn...I really don't care about 'porma' on weekends hehehhee..
It's been a busy weekend with company of Pinoys. Moments like these, I miss my bowling, karaoke, badminton and coffee pals in the Philippines. I miss the 'kwentuhans' until 3am! I miss the 'pustahans' in bowling. I miss badminton tourneys. Well, I miss a lot of things and a lot of people. Trade offs for a greater quest...:)
True when they say that you sometimes take things for granted, and people too. When I was still in Manila, my friends would always complain that I have little time for them. That they need to make 2-months advance reservation of my time. I wasn't really thinking about that but now, I realize yes I have missed so much on my friends. I have been busy with my business, busy building up my career, busy with my badminton, busy with the choir, busy traveling. I was always on the go. Because I thought that quantity matters over quality. I thought that I should try everything so when I grow old I won't have regrets.
I hardly have time to slow down and appreciate the little wonders that surround me. I've always been living for the future and treasuring the past so much that I take for granted the present. I ended up regretting.
But living far away from friends, I have learned to spend more time thinking about them. Believe it or not, I've been talking with them more often now. Strange, isn't it?
Thanks for visiting!
