talk to me!

'Talk to me!' I've heard that come out of my mouth so many times before. I always thought the other party is the problem because he never really talked to me. Not until recently that I realized that it's not only about 'talk to me!', it is more of having a conversation, regardless of depth, but by the mere fact that you see each other's face, you look into each other's eyes, it means more than thousands of eloquent words. It got into me just now that at the start of my project, I worked hard to establish a close-working relationship with my biz owners, and when things sort of normalize, I got absorbed with my day job and I spent less and less time with them. Now the communication link is cracked. Just because I shifted to my work's routine I now need to spend extra effort to fix things up again. Even in relationships, friendships the same thing happen. We first work hard to get to know the person, make the person like us, we spend so much time to be with the person but when we feel sense of security, we drift back and shifts to our routines, to our usual stuffs and we oftentimes take those that matter most for granted. Instead of 'talk to me!' it should have been 'let's talk!' and the story could have ended up differently...This one adds up to my IF ONLY list.
