Mixing Number 5 and Strawberries & Champaigne
Chanel and Victoria Secret should be paying me for this! hahahaha

I accidentally spilled my perfume and so I rushed at Takashimaya to grab a new one. I'm this type of person who'd dare experiment on different scents. I just finished with a Christian Dior and I've been hearing so much fuzz on Chanel Number 5 for at least a couple of years now. I honestly don't like its smell so I never purchased one. To me, it's too classical. 'Twas around lunchtime and surpringly only the Chanel counter had an attendant so I went there and grabbed my first Chanel Number 5. Tried it the following day, but it was just aweful. The smell's just not me at all. It lacks vigor and a carefree aura. I wanted to throw the perfume away but on second thought, I wouldn't want to waste hard-earned money. So I looked over my lotion stocks. U-huh, I like lotions and body oils and tried the perfume with all what I have. Nothing seems to work until after a week I chanced upon Victoria Secret's strawberries and champaigne lotion. I didn't like it so much because it was too sweet and too fruity for me. I bought it simply because I happen to drop by a VS store in LA which offers huge discount [aaahhh impulse buyer!] Anyway, I tried it together with Chanel Number 5 and viola! I totally like the smell. I've been wearing that for about 3 weeks now. Two days ago I chanced upon a colleague of mine in the elevator. Busy as a bee, I didn't really have a chance to chat. Yesterday my colleague approached my cube and asked me 'what is the perfume you're wearing? it smells so good and it's so you and when you went out of the elevator, your smell lingered and it smelled so vibrantly elegant'...and I said 'ohh~ i'm speechless.' I told her it was Chanel Number 5. She said she's not familiar with the smell but she knows Chanel Number 5. And then I remembered the trick....I mixed it with Victoria Secret's Strawberries & Champaigne ~ viola, I feel like pink champaigne!
The moral lesson? Don't give up on something just because upfront it doesn't meet your expectation. Experiment! Work with it. Play it. Until you finally come to terms with it... this applies with human beings too, you know!
