Visiting Ate!
It was my first time to Saitama and to see Ate Akiko after she gave birth to Kazu-kun. They picked me up at the Yonohonmachi station and from there we went to the grocery to buy the ingredients which I would be cooking for dinner. Takashi requested Filipino cousine because he said he never tasted any. So I naturally heed (cooking is one of the passion I recently dug up from my teen-age years). I cooked Adobo, Sinagang and Yangchao rice. They were all good (according to Takashi). I was very happy!
I played with Kazu-kun for a couple of hours and now I feel so tired. Taking care of a baby is certainly a joy but I realize you also have to be physically able to. Kazu-kun is a cute 4 month old, 7 kilos baby. I brought him a pair of bootie and bonnet as a present from Ireland. I was a little nervous it might not fit, but it did!
Takashi and Ate talked about lots of things. Naturally not being able to really spend time chatting for a while, we had a lot of catch ups to do. Takashi and I had a couple of beers, and Japanese whiskey (Ate was our audience, she's breastfeeding so alcohol is a major No-No!). Went home at around 9.30pm and reached my own home shortly before 11pm.
Indeed a tiring yet enjoyable weekend it was.
Thanks for visiting!
